The machine also features a Toner Save Mode, which allows the standard Black Brother HL-5170DNLT cartridges to last even longer by using less toner on draft documents.
The cartridge models used in the HL-5170DNLT are the TN570 toner cartridge, the TN540 toner cartridge, and the DR510 drum cartridge.
